Source: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/

The main city of Mato Grosso do Sul is Campo Grande. Mato Grosso do Sul occupies an area of 357,140 km² but is home to only about 2.298 million inhabitants. It is one of the least densely populated areas in Brazil with only 6.4 inhabitants/km² (2006). One of the reasons for this is the fact that over one third of the state is marshy floodland called Pantanal.

The major rivers are: Río Paraguay, Paraná, Rio Paranaíba, Miranda, Aquidauana, Taquari, Negro, Apa and Correntes. The Pantanal wetlands are in between these rivers.

Economy and Agriculture

Mato Grosso do Sul mainly lives off agriculture and cattle farming. The main crops are sugar cane, wheat, soya, cassava, rice and cotton.

Public transport

There is public transport between the main citys . Campo Grande and Corumba have public buses but unfortunately there is no public transport in Miranda and Bonito
